PREPARING FOR SOUND HEALING
Prepare for your session
ABOUT THIS VIDEO
In this short introduction I talk about sound, how you can approach the experience, and some of the things you may notice or experience during a Sound Healing session.
The practical preparation guidance is just below.
SIMPLE PREPARATION
How to prepare for your session
You do not need to achieve or experience anything in a particular way. If you have a theme, question or intention you would like to explore, feel free to bring it with you. If you do not have a clear intention, that is completely fine — the session can unfold naturally.
Comfort first
Wear something you can comfortably sit or lie down in. It helps if nothing is tight, uncomfortable or pulling your attention away — physical comfort makes it easier to stay with the experience.
Arrive 10 minutes early
Please arrive 10 minutes early so we have time to settle in and begin calmly.
A lighter rhythm beforehand
If possible, avoid coffee and a heavy meal for about two hours before the session.
An intention is welcome, but not required
If you would like to, you can bring a theme, question or something you would like to understand or explore more deeply. It does not need to be perfectly formed. If you do not have a particular intention, there is nothing you need to invent beforehand.
If you fall asleep, that is okay too
Some people remain fully awake, some move into a deeper state of rest, and sometimes sleep happens. None of these is wrong — there is no need to control how you experience the session.
During the session
You may lie down or sit — choose whichever position feels most comfortable. Change position or adjust the pillow whenever you need to; there is no need to speak or perform anything.
IN THE SPACE
Shoes are removed on arrival and phones are put on silent. Water, a comfortable surface, pillow and blanket are provided.
